The Bastrop Downtown Business Alliance (Bastrop DBA) was
formed in 2005 by a small alliance of business owners. This core
group recognized the need to protect the future of downtown Bastrop
as the greater Bastrop, TX area continued its pattern of tremendous
growth. The Bastrop DBA has grown its membership very quickly and
has greatly increased its involvement in events and opportunities that
promote the objectives of the organization.
The Mission Statement of the Bastrop DBA has four main elements,
including:
1. To build a grass-root base of citizens interested in maintaining
the business viability of downtown Bastrop, TX
2. To improve public awareness of downtown Bastrop, TX and its
role in maintaining a healthy city
3. To promote existing businesses
4. To encourage the growth of new businesses
There are currently about 150 members of the Bastrop DBA,
representing a wide variety of business types and entities, as well as
individuals.
The Bastrop DBA meets each 1st and 3rd Tuesday at 6:30pm at 908
Main Street in Bastrop, TX. All are welcome.

and individuals interested in maintaining the integrity of Bastrop's
historic downtown district as a center of community activity, as an
attractive and compelling visitor destination, and most
importantly, as the heart and pride of a fast-growing city within
one of the most historic and naturally unique areas in Texas.
Our membership's goal is to work with all business and
organizations to ensure our old town, our parks, our historic trails
and our natural wonders thrive.
The Downtown Business Alliance (DBA), in conjunction with the
Texas Main Street Program and the Preserve America Program, is
striving to generate interest in and recognition of the heritage and
beauty of the area by structuring events held on the streets and in
the parks of the historic district.
